Following the Light

Susie Denton’s creative path didn’t begin in a gallery or art school—it began in the vast, open spaces of rural Western Australia, far from anything traditionally “artsy,” but rich with quiet inspiration.

It wasn’t until her sixties, surrounded by the vibrant energy of Darwin’s art community, that she unearthed a long-buried spark. That discovery ignited a new adventure—one of exploration, risk, and creative freedom.

In 2024, she followed that call further, diving into the Milan Art Institute’s Mastery Program. Since then, Susie has continued the journey—sharing her work through local galleries and art fairs, connecting with fellow seekers, and expanding her practice with curiosity as her guide.

Today, she paints daily in her sunlit studio, each piece an expressive marker of where she’s been and what she’s felt—bright, textured, and alive with emotion.
